Online garden design diploma courses
Our online garden design courses were designed after consultation with Oxford Brookes University and are based on our former classroom taught postgraduate diploma course. The syllabus, lectures, student notes and video lectures are identical to that of the postgraduate course, all except for the history dissertation, final exam and the end of year exhibition, which has been removed from the program.
This one-year distance learning course offers:
- Interactive video tutorials and downloadable notes. (Pre-recorded seminars, identical to those given in the classroom). Our online lectures offer far great flexibility over a traditional classroom taught course. You can watch the lectures as often as you wish, to get the maximum out of every lesson. You also have access to any updates or new lectures after you graduate, so you can stay up to date for free.
- Our Online Garden Design Courses provide daily contact with tutors and fellow students 24/7 via our online classroom. You can chat with your fellow student and tutors on a daily basis online or via our phone app and you get more 1-1 tutor/student contact time than a traditional classroom taught course. We aim to answer any questions within a few hours and we are often available at weekends as well.
- Scheduled Weekly webinars allow your tutor to give you individual feedback, advice and help with your projects. You can draw on each other’s work and partake in real-time critiques of yours and your fellow students work.
- Small class sizes, (maximum 8 students per lecture) ensure that students get all the support they need to succeed.
Course Duration
Our Garden Design Diploma Course can be completed in one year, although you have up to 24 months tutors support. We recommend a minimum of 10-15 hours study per week and 25 hours of study if you wish to complete it in 12 months. You also have the option to extend your course for a further year if required.
